Does the Steel Trimmer fit on my brushcutter?
Enter your brushcutter model at the top of the page or see our Assembly guide.
The steel trimmer fits most major brands of motor-driven clearing saws. It is important to check that you can mount accessories with a center hole of Ø25 mm for the steel trimmer to fit.
Do you have a brushcutter adapted for accessories with center hole of Ø20 mm need one spacer from 20 to 25 mmMost Stihl machines have Ø20mm.
You can buy our spacer
If you have a battery-powered grass trimmer with a plastic line holder and no screw, you unfortunately cannot mount the Steel Trimmer.
If you still feel unsure, we recommend that you contact your local brushcutter dealer.
What are the dimensions of the Steel Trimmer?
The steel trimmer is available in two sizes: Ø150mm & Ø200mm in diameter.
What is included in the delivery?
In the delivery only includes the steel trimmer, That is, the wire brush itself.
We sometimes get asked if the handle is included. The "handle" is a clearing saw that is required to spin the Ståltrimmern.
The brushcutter needs to have a screw underneath to be able to mount the Steel Trimmer.
If you only have a plastic thread holder, unfortunately you cannot mount the Steel Trimmer on that machine.
Clearing saw is not included in Leversansen.
How long does the Steel Trimmer last?
Recommendation for Optimal Use of the Steel Trimmer
To extend the life and maximize the efficiency of your Steel Trimmer, it is important to avoid applying unnecessary force to the surface. Here are some valuable tips:
- Avoid applying too much pressure to the surface: Do not press too hard against the surface when using the Steel Trimmer. Applying excessive pressure will cause the Steel Trimmer to wear down the surface much faster than you want to remove it.
- Focus on the weeds: Focus instead on
- Use light, controlled pressure on the weeds to avoid unnecessary wear. It is the weeds that should be removed, not the substrate.
- Long-term sustainability: The product is robust and designed to handle weeds and smaller roots. Avoiding excessive pressure against hard surfaces is key to its long-term durability. By using the Steel Trimmer with the above recommendations, you will notice that it lasts significantly longer and continues to deliver high-performance weed control.
- Patience pays off: Using the Steel Trimmer with light pressure and carefully trimming the weeds may take a little more time, but it is definitely worth it in the long run. Your Steel Trimmer will last several times longer for the same area, and you will avoid unnecessarily wearing it down by pressing too hard against unwanted surfaces. It is the best way to long-lasting performance and effective weed control.
Are the steel wires coming loose?
We see some of this concern in the comments section on Social Media.
We have done many tests where we clear weeds and then go with a strong magnet and sweep the area to see if steel wires have come loose and that has not been the case.
The barbs wear down and leave no more than small dust particles that are not visible, and we have not seen that dust from the steel trimmer has contributed to any surface rust formation.
If threads come loose, it is a defective product that should not be used but should be reported so you can get a new, working product. Of course, completely free of charge!
